That’s a wonderful idea. We will definitely be there.

  2. Megan Wehrenberg says:

Thank you for putting this together. I was sadly out of town for the memorial service and it would be great to get together with the community to remember the Houghtons.

  3. Sherry Balow says:

I know this will be a lasting tribute to the family and I’m so happy to see that it has become a reality. If possible we’ll be there — at least will be thinking of everyone who has made such an effort to secure this memorial.

  4. Michele Lamelin says:

Continued loving wishes for comfort and peace to all who are mourning the tragic loss of the Houghton family. Not a day goes by that they and their family and friends aren’t in my thoughts and prayers. David, DeDe, Luke and Ryan will never be forgotten.

Looking forward to the beach gathering.
Right now, Zach and Diego are playing Magic- for hours now- in my living room. I keep feeling Ryan around….is it my imagination? my wanting to hold on to him being around still? Or is he watching because he loves Zach so much? I got goose bumps when I wrote the last sentence, so maybe that is why.
I drive by their house every day on my way to work. I never went into their house, but had vivid dreams about it after their parting. I wonder about their house, and what is happening with the animals and all. I trust Critter is with family.
I feel, as I am sure everyone does, for the immediate family— and especially John, who is pouring his heart and soul into everything he writes. I did not know that John sings, and hope he will invite us all next time he has a gig.
I have a very strong sense that DeDe, David, Ryan and Luke are in peace, and doing lots of fun things, and have moved on….. although some of us are still working on letting go of them being here in physical bodies. I look at their photos every day ( I still have a little altar and candles) and wonder: if I did not look at what they used to look like, but instead close my eyes to feel who they are to be now, that it might not help me to move on. I have no doubt, as I mentioned, that they have moved on to the next thing to do together. And the spirit world has lots to do at this time in history, no doubt!
    See you at the beach.
    Jill

  6. Hello Family and Friends,

We are looking forward to spending time and getting to know lots of DeDe, David, and the boys friends from Santa Cruz… When I told my 4 y/o granddaughter (Kyra) about us going she said, “I can’t wait to see DeDe, David, Luke, and Ryan” “I miss them” and then she told me what our sleeping arrangements could be and she said “of course MaMaw, Luke and Ryan I’m sure have their own room” and “David and DeDe can sleep together”… :)
